The Pop-Up Play Shop project transforms empty shop fronts into all-ages, all-abilities play spaces.
Instead of a hole in public space, we establish hubs for people to exchange ideas and resources that help them play, and support the play of others.
A Pop-Up Play Shop may become an art studio and gallery or a workshop space, with its evolution guided by the needs and interests of the people who use it. At its heart is an open access space where children can create their own play area out of safe recycled materials, staffed by talented Playworkers who are ready and happy to help when invited to join in.
No matter what your age or interest, you’ll be able to find something to do and someone to talk to at a Pop-Up Play Shop.
And you won’t have to buy a thing.
(The Pop-Up Play Shop Project is part of Pop-Up Adventure Play, an international non-profit improving children’s opportunities for play within communities of supportive adults.)
